TU Zdrowie with record results for 2021
TU Zdrowie closed the year 2021 with a net profit of more than PLN 10 million and premiums earned incl. income from loss adjustment intermediation on behalf of other insurance companies at a level of more than PLN 92 million. These are significant increases year-on-year. The insurer is successively expanding its product portfolio with more health plans. Tu Zdrowie is also updating its Policyholder Panel, which is intended to completely replace paper workflows.
- We had a very successful year. In the period from January to December 2021, we once again achieved record results, earned premiums incl. income from loss adjustment intermediation on behalf of other insurance companies at a level of PLN 92,165 thousand, a 15.9% increase year-on-year. In turn, the net profit earned during the period amounts to PLN 10,230 thousand, which is 64.6% higher than in 2020. Much credit is owed to our partners, i.e. brokers and agents, and the entire team at TU Zdrowie - says Aleksander Roda, CEO of TU Zdrowie.
In 2021, TU Zdrowie completed one of its key projects, the modification of the Policyholder Panel. The Panel has been upgraded with a number of new features giving HR departments full control over health policies for employees. The policy administrators can use an intuitive tool that allows them to add people registered for insurance to the system, prepare the necessary documentation, which can be self-generated through the system, and then manage payouts and packages. Through the Panel, HR departments can access the current balance and all necessary documents (policies, annexes, payment documents, GT&Cs, and Benefit Catalogue). Furthermore, the Panel allows them to communicate and exchange documents without relying on e-mail, which is particularly important in terms of protecting the personal data of the insureds.
The e-declaration feature has also been rolled out in the Policyholder Panel; it streamlines the process of taking out insurance at TU Zdrowie. E-declarations allow each employee to choose their own insurance option, as well as to enter the data of the family members they wish to register for insurance purposes. In parallel, the HR departments that look after the policies retain full control over the data entered, which saves time and prevents potential errors.
The Occupational Medicine Platform, which streamlines the management of occupational medicine referrals and full control over the validity of employees' certificates, is a further major improvement that has been integrated into the Policyholder Panel.
- We are also steadily working on improving our product portfolio. In 2021, we implemented a health plan called 'Recovering from Covid-19', intended for people confirmed to have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which can complement the range of insurance companies that offer life insurance policies. Moreover, there is work in progress to launch another health plan, 'My Cardiologist' - adds CEO Aleksander Roda.
The TU Zdrowie insureds already benefit from a total of six different Health Plans. In previous years, Tu Zdrowie launched the "My Oncologist", "My Nutritionist", "My Orthopedist", "Post Traffic Accident Treatment" and "Continuation of Inpatient Treatment" plans. Furthermore, TU Zdrowie provides health plans for other insurance companies.
TU Zdrowie in the NEUCA Group - more growth opportunities and benefits for the insureds
Tu Zdrowie's merger with the NEUCA Group was an important step in the growth of the insurance company; it has led to the expansion of TU Zdrowie's network of partner clinics, as now it includes 70 Świat Zdrowia clinics owned by NEUCA. Furthermore, the insureds have gained access to telemedical consultations provided by the Diabdis clinic, which is part of the NEUCA Group. Moreover, the insureds can now access the Apteline.pl portal, which enables the booking of pharmaceuticals in pharmacies, and HeyDoc and HeyCzeker services, which allow the insureds to pre-assess their health condition and schedule e-consultations. The tools and services are available in the Insured Panel.
