TU Zdrowie at the European Business Forum – Złote Godło Emblem for top quality services
TU Zdrowie, Poland’s only insurance company specializing in employee health insurance and medical packages, has been awarded the Złote Godło Emblem. During the European Business Forum in Katowice, the award was received by Aleksander Roda, TU Zdrowie’s CEO.
The Złote Godło Emblem was awarded to TU Zdrowie for its activities related to the implementation of the “Zdrowie” Policy, as well as the promotion of the idea of quality. The “Zdrowie” Policy awarded the Złote Godło Emblem is addressed to SMEs and companies with several thousand employees. It gives the insureds a great deal of flexibility and allows insurance coverage to be optimally tailored to individual needs, as well as the financial capabilities of each employer.
- We are growing every year, and the award we received is proof that the direction we took 12 years ago is the right one - said TU Zdrowie’s CEO, Aleksander Roda, while receiving the QI 2022 Złote Godło Emblem in the category: QI Services – Highest Quality Services. He also stressed that the current year is a record year for TU Zdrowie. - We achieved very good results in both sales and financial terms. But it was also a difficult year; behind us was the huge undertaking of launching our own hotline. We had been preparing for this step for more than two years, and in early June service to the insureds was launched through our Contact Center. In the first step, our goal was to allow the insureds to make appointments with doctors, laboratory tests or diagnostic tests in accordance with quality standards; the other, very important stages are still ahead of us. Ultimately, we strive to have the best medical helpline in Poland, so that most of the insured’s matters related to their health needs are handled during the first contact with the helpline consultant.
The advantages of having a health insurance policy were stressed by Marcin Połowniak, CEO of Neuca Med, who was invited to participate in the panel discussion “Economics of Healthcare. Financial Aspects in the Management of Health Care Facilities,” which took place as part of the European Business Forum.
- Spending on private health care services is growing year on year in Poland. Last year alone, patients spent PLN 20 billion out of their own pockets on these services, not including expenses for medicines and medical devices. The alternative options are either subscriptions or insurance policies. While a subscription is a rather casual legal form, medical insurance is regulated and provides guarantees of availability written into the contract. A patient opting for a policy therefore has much easier access to doctors, as well as the possibility of reimbursement of costs incurred for health services - said Marcin Połowniak.
Under the Złote Godło Emblem-winning “Zdrowie” Policy, depending on the variant, the insureds have access to:
- unlimited consultations of primary care physicians (internist, pediatrician, family doctor)
- unlimited consultations of specialists, available without referrals, including pediatric specialists and consultations with professors
- unlimited outpatient procedures performed during medical consultations
- unlimited laboratory tests
- unlimited diagnostic tests (imaging, functional, etc.)
- unlimited outpatient procedures
- medical and nursing house calls
- rehabilitation
- scheduled hospital treatments
- mandatory occupational medicine services

It is held under the auspices of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, the Department of Process Management at the University of Economics in Kraków and the Polish Committee for Standardization.
