Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Zdrowie SA with a new and strong partner – the NEUCA Group
TU Zdrowie and the NEUCA Group have concluded an agreement as a result of which TU Zdrowie gains a strong partner and capital for further development, whereas NEUCA strengthens its position in the Polish healthcare market. The Neuca Group investment gives TU Zdrowie a possibility to significantly increase its share in the market of health insurance and enhance product offerings.
Pomerania Investment SA, thus becoming a majority shareholder in TU Zdrowie. It is an element of NEUCA’s ongoing strategy to regularly increase its participation in the patient-oriented industry. The Group, already one of the leading players in the Polish healthcare market, is expanding its portfolio with this investment by adding health insurance as brand new domain to its offer.
“The process of selecting a strategic partner took about a year and was very difficult, as our priority was to maintain our own identity and possibility of dynamic development. For this reason we chose the NEUCA GROUP as our strategic investor. We believe that the joined forces will enable us to provide comprehensive medical services of highest quality on much greater scale than so far,” explains TU Zdrowie Chairman Aleksander Roda.
TU Zdrowie was searching for a partner who would value the company’s strong position and growth potential. The cooperation of both entities gives an opportunity for further dynamic development and for TU Zdrowie to leverage the effects of the synergy with the new partner.
“We will be able to offer an insurance-quality availability guarantee of medical services and TU Zdrowie expand the model of cooperation with the network of medical service providers. NEUCA’s strategy in the patient-oriented area is based on providing the feeling of security in terms of health and rising the quality of living. The insurance-quality availability guarantee of medical services ties in with that perfectly,” says NEUCA Deputy Chairman Paweł Kuśmierowski.
Due to the merge, the current network of medical facilities cooperating with TU Zdrowie will increase by 68 primary care clinics. As a result TU Zdrowie’s clients will get even better access to medical practitioners of various specialisations and the guarantee of short appointment time will be easier to keep. Cooperation with the new partner in the field of telemedicine and development of information technologies will contribute to maintaining high performance of IT solutions, undistorted communication between the insured and the doctors, fast access to selected medical services and to insurance offer.
Additionally, a tangible advantage of the cooperation for TU Zdrowie is a possibility to access Poland’s largest independent network of clinical trial centres that belongs to the NEUCA Group. It also includes access to the Group’s know-how that will allow TU Zdrowie to tailor and implement dedicated health programmes for their clients even better.
TU Zdrowie remains an insurance company specialising in healthcare and operating independently in the market. The company will continue to intensively develop cooperation with brokers and agents in the field of insurance sales, and with medical facilities in the area of service provision, using NEUCA’s resources and experience of many years in the patient-oriented segment.
NEUCA SA will purchase 50,2% of shares in Pomerania Investment, the sole owner of TU Zdrowie SA. The transaction is conditional and requires consent of the Chairman of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and a decision of the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). According to the concluded agreements, the parties committed to conclude promissory agreements by September 30, 2021.
